Heim at Home is a book & web project I was asked to shoot both photography & video for by Austrian Scholar on Jewish Identity and writer Diani Gregor. Heim at Home tells the story of ten Holocaust survivors’ relationship to their homeland. They are Austrians whose place of birth turned into a dangerous and alien place practically overnight. They all managed to escape to America and eventually to start a new life in New York. Diani Gregor distilled the memories of these ten amazing survivors. It was my privilege to supplement this wonderful and heartbreaking project with the imagery. The book is available through Metroverlag, Vienna, Austria.
